"As a professor of art and practicing artist I am faced with the incongruous contractions of negotiating two worlds. I work in an institution that functions more like a corporation than an art school and where the spectacle of football dominates. Though my responsibilities of teaching, service, and research are meant to be satisfied in three equal parts, this is never the case. The students come first, and the never-ending committee obligations overrule my studio time. I feel like an impostor as a mentor to my art students when it has been many months since I have been in my own studio. On good days, I can appreciate that teaching makes me a better artist. This semester I am on sabbatical and have found some clarity, and from the sidelines of my studio I cheer let’s go broncos!"


Each print was created on official Boise State University 100% cotton letterhead stationery and fed three times into an Epson 2880 loaded with archival ink.
